We are growing in God’s love ... achieving our dream.
Welcome

A warm welcome to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School. As a small school, we offer a distinctive education within a friendly, caring atmosphere where every child is truly valued and their own unique gifts are celebrated.
We are able to get to know our pupils well, enabling us to support and challenge them to thrive as confident and precious individuals.
We offer an exciting and broad curriculum which promotes high aspirations for all learners.
The school’s mission statement highlights the importance of being kind, loving and respectful of everyone; growing in God’s love to achieve our dreams.
We have dedicated staff and governors, and our families and local community all play an important role in the success of our happy school.
School Day
It is important that all pupils are punctual for school and that children attend school each day.
After School Clubs
We aim to provide a variety of after school activities throughout the year, based on the interests and requests of the children.
Activities are available for children from Reception to Year 6.

Parent/Carer Partnership
We acknowledge the importance of parents and carers as a child’s first educator and aim to work together with parents.
Parent Workshops
During the year, families are invited to join us for a range of focused workshops. These are designed to help support learning at home and share some of the strategies children use in school.
Reading Together
Supporting your child’s reading development is one of the most important things you can do. Children who read and are read to often at home make accelerated progress in reading.
Friends of the School: Parents and carers are warmly welcomed to become involved in school life, fundraising, events and supporting school trips and activities.
